Nerdiness... It's all in the family.

For those of you who don't know, Will and I met online.  We had been emailing back and forth for awhile, when Star Wars came up.  I told me I was more of a Empire Strikes Back girl myself.  He always jokes that was the moment he knew he loved me.

Nerdiness runs deep.  I'm not sure Ben and Penny have a chance growing up with out it, but I wouldn't have it any other way.  I look forward to Star Wars marathon and Lord of the Ring snow days and reading Harry Potter to the kids at bed time.  Every family has traditions.  We have been setting up some traditions, but there are many others I looking forwards to starting.

Everyone in their Star Wars t-shirts, Ben and Penny say thanks to their God Parents for getting them.
What are some of your family traditions?

  2. My husband and I are nerds too. I have a master's in English and the hubs is a WWII buff, so our kids are destined to be nerds. It's not such a bad thing though; there are definitely worse things!

    Following you from MMM.

  5. Hehe. I think my kids will be crazy board game nerds. My husband is in love with and could play board games every single night. Thanks for linking up with me this week!

  6. Lovely blog. I found you through Crazy Mama's fun blog hop. I linked in a post about my travel bucket list. Have a super week.

Ps As I am commenting on things this week I am reminding people that if you turn off your word verification stuff people will find it much easier to comment on your posts. Give it a go!

To help you here is how you do it:
You need to go to the old Blogger interface - on your dashboard look up to top right, click the little wheel and it will give you the old interface as an option. Click that. You will see a big blue button - don't click that - click the one 3 along to the right - settings.

Then click the comments tab - scroll down to the question "Show word verification for comments?" and click no.
That will sort it. But you do have to click the yellow save settings button at the bottom.

To go back to the new interface just click the blue " try the updated blogger interface" at the top next to your email address.

There - that's my good deed for the day! Hope you didn't mind me hassling you like this!

  7. Cute post. We need "Band Nerds" shirts for our boys. (My husband and I met in marching band...so I guess it would be fitting.) Just wanted to let you know I nominated you for a Versatile Blogger Award. Take a look when you can and pass it along. Thanks so much!
