Basically you get some bowls and spoons and cups and lots of cotton balls. They can scoop and stir and sort and all those fun toddlery things.
This activity kept them busy for about 30 minutes, which is hours in toddler time! Penny stayed very entertained by it the whole time.
Ben walked around and pick up the cotton balls and banged spoons and stacked cups. He wasn't quite as into it as Penny, but he was still very entertained by it.
Penny Loved it!! We will definitely do this again!
Overall this was a great activity. I love treating household objects as new toys. It is cheap fun and Ben and Penny love it! You should give this activity a go, if my babies are anything like yours, they will love it!
Great activity! Sometimes I let my kids go through the tupperware drawer - I swear it's like Christmas for them.

ReplyDeleteCotton balls are great! Visiting from the blog hop! X
ReplyDeleteDefinitely got to use this idea with Zeva. Of course, she'd probably try to eat every last one of them at this point her life. :( I'm going to have to pin this one. :)
ReplyDeleteThis is fantastic idea, it will be great for Violet when she isn't putting everything I. Her mouth. I caught her trying to eat a paper towel today! Thank you for linking up to {Im}Perfect Sundays!
ReplyDeleteIt's so funny, I have a large age gap between my first 3 and last 2 kids and no matter what the latest and greatest toy is, they always prefer these types of activities.
ReplyDeleteAw your baby is so cute. I cant wait to do this fun activity with my baby soon when shes little older.
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I'm your new follower from the That Friday Blog Hop. Would love if you can return the favor. Have a great day!

ReplyDeleteLove this idea! My little one would try to eat the cotton balls, but we might try it anyway. Maybe she'll find they don't taste so good.
ReplyDeleteTotally did this with my two and it was a big hit. Although they did manage to pull out ALL their play food stuff as well, but it was really fun!
ReplyDeleteIt is crazy how something so simple could give me 30 minutes of quiet! I will have to try it! :) Once I get her to stop putting everything in her mouth I guess..
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! I nanny for a toddler and I am always on the lookout for new ideas to entertain! Thanks for linking up with us for Mommy Moments this week!
