How is it possible that February is almost over? How did this happen? I really think my babies were sick for almost the whole month, I have been cleaning out closets, and dealing with some of life's unexpected bumps mountains in the road. We are in the middle of some pretty major changes and forks in the road, so blogging has slipped by the way side. Infact, last week I even forgot about Little Wonders Wednesday. I did miss reading all of your blogs you link up. So please, link up and make friends!

I never thought I would be one of those mothers who had a hard time with the first hair cut.... then the curls grew in. I just could not bring myself to cut those precious curls. I decided to when it was starting to get in his eyes.
It was time. His hair was in his eyes and it was getting really long.
I was a little worried about him in the chair. It can be a little slow to warm up to new people and new situations. I was certain he would have to sit on my lap. But he sat there on his own like a big boy. He was a little uncertain, but he was so brave!
His hair still has curls and he still looks like my Ben, but it is out of his eyes. It is always amazing how the first hair cut can turn your baby baby into a little boy.
This year our babes have been so sick! It has been one bug after the next, one cold after the next with a week in between. The babies aren't quite old enough for cough syrup nor do I like the idea of giving them medicine for every little thing. So my mom remembers that her mom used to give her homemade cough syrup and that it worked. So I thought I would give it a try
It is so simple!
half cup of honey
half cup hot water
3 tablespoons lemon juice
I give it to them before nap time and bed time. And since it is something you can not take too much of, they get it when ever they are coughing a lot.
Once I started using it I noticed a big different and I'm just saying... this cold didn't last as long as the rest of them. I wasn't sure it would work at first, but it really does. I may even try this for Will and I when we get coughs.
So in the beginning of the month, this is what my coat closet looked like.
Now this is what it looks like
What a difference!
This month I have been getting rid of 10 things everyday, trying to rid myself of clutter we all accumulate. I have also been working on the nursery getting some things put away and getting rid of some other stuff. Next onto out bedroom. And honestly our bedroom is the wasteland of things we don't know where else to put. It feels good to get somethings cleaned up!
How are your goals coming this month? Any idea for my goal next month?
I have been out of the bloggy world this week. My real world took up all my time. Sick babies, sick mommy, over worked daddy = some much needed family wellness time together. I have some really great stuff planned for this week. A new toddler activity, an update on my month of decluttering and some new cloth diaper tips I've learned. Make sure you come back!
I'm sure you all have not been slacking so much in the bloggy world... so show me what you got! I need some inspiration!

I went to the store looking for some detangler from the twins hair and then I realized it was pretty expensive for a little bottle and I had seen it made before so I thought I would give it a try. So I made this hair detangler for pennies, and boy do I need it!
Look at those curls! They sure do get tangled.
So all you so is put a tablespoon of conditioner in a little spray bottle, fill it with water, and shake it up. That's it! It works great! Just a couple of sprays on their hair out o f the tub and it was so easy to get a comb through.
Now for the fun! Link up with me! I am also looking for co-hosts. I would love to work with you so shoot me an email. adayinthelifefamilyblog@gmail.com
